TL;DR

Drivetrain Systems Simulation Engineer (Automotive/Mechanical Engineering): Supporting the concept, design, and development of transmission systems and components with an accent on simulation models and validation of mechanical drivetrain hardware. Focus on identifying root causes, evaluating complex technical tradeoffs, and solving system integration challenges.

Location: Must be based in Monterrey, Mexico (Domestic relocation is not available)

What you will do

• Support the design, development, and validation of mechanical drivetrain hardware to meet product requirements.
• Build, improve, and maintain simulation models following corporate modeling standards.
• Define test plans and validation conditions for various components and systems.
• Implement standard work and automation processes to increase simulation efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews to share simulation results and incorporate feedback from partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1).
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in Spanish.
• Intermediate knowledge of drivetrain systems design, modeling, or simulation.
• Ability to apply analysis tools to identify root causes and evaluate technical tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Romax or Transmission3D software.
• Practical and theoretical experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings for drivetrain components.
• Knowledge of powertrain, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and gears.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB scripting.
• Familiarity with design of experiments and robust design methods.
