What you will do
- Design and engineer robotic end of arm tooling (EOAT), fixtures, and material presentation solutions using SolidWorks.
- Create preliminary design concepts and 3D models for customer proposals.
- Lead internal and external design review meetings to manage feedback and resolve conflicts.
- Source manufactured and purchased parts and oversee the assembly of robotic cell solutions.
- Assess robotic cells for safety hazards and implement risk reduction solutions.
- Support sales, systems engineers, and project managers during the RFQ process.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Must be able to work on-site in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Nice to have
- Experience with robotic EOAT or automated material presentation solutions.
- Knowledge of 4 and 6-axis robot programming.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems and electrical schematics.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, lean practices, and 3D printing.
