Associate Technical Writer (Healthcare Software)

Location: Remote, United States. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Author and maintain product user guides, manuals, technical specifications, and knowledge articles.
• Document product feature changes, upgrades, and end-user and administrator workflows.
• Translate technical and functional information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Interview and coordinate with subject matter experts to verify content accuracy.
• Assist with application product acceptance testing.
• Support activities within the Technical Writing and Knowledge Management groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent training.
• 0–2 years of experience in technical writing or software documentation, including internship experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, graphic imaging software, and both print and digital media formats.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle and the ability to interpret requirements and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, active listening, attention to detail, research, analysis, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a U.S.-based remote role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, MadCap, Microsoft Word, or Markdown.
• Knowledge of Digital Adoption Platforms such as WalkMe and Help Authoring Tools such as RoboHelp.
