Sr. Platform Engineer (Private Cloud)

Salary: $124,026–$181,905 per year in the US; Canadian range: $108,000–$158,000 per year.

What you will do

• Implement the private cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service strategy for private datacenters.
• Build self-service networking and expand platform capabilities across compute, storage, load balancing, and security services.
• Develop reusable automation modules, infrastructure templates, service blueprints, pipelines, and provisioning workflows.
• Integrate virtualization, networking, storage, security, service management, orchestration, and approval platforms through APIs.
• Establish Git-based development practices, including code review, testing, releases, and rollback processes.
• Support secure, auditable, resilient, and compliant infrastructure services while troubleshooting complex platform challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure automation engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, network engineering, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, segmentation, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, IPAM, and security policy enforcement.
• Experience with private cloud, internal IaaS, platform engineering, self-service infrastructure, and automated provisioning.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Network as Code, Git-based change control, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere or equivalent virtualization platforms and enterprise storage such as NetApp.
