DevSecOps Platform Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in the United States; occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $77,600–$176,000 annualized USD

What you will do

• Support and enhance enterprise DevSecOps platforms, including GitHub, Sonatype Nexus, Sonatype Lifecycle and Firewall, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Administer AWS-hosted infrastructure, including Amazon EKS and Kubernetes clusters.
• Perform platform maintenance, upgrades, configuration, scaling, capacity management, and monitoring.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python or Bash.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and remediate security and operational problems affecting platform availability.
• Support scheduled maintenance, upgrades, incident response, and critical business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Linux systems administration, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps technologies such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Sonatype products.
• Experience developing automation with Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, security groups, load balancing, and network troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship is required. A bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of relevant experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo CD.
• AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
