Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist

Location: Onsite in Highland Heights, Ohio, with regular travel to Johnson City, Tennessee; expected travel is 20–50%.

Salary: $70,000–$95,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead EHS programs across two manufacturing facilities and ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Collect, analyze, and report EHS data for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS policies, procedures, management systems, audit programs, permits, regulatory reports, OSHA submissions, and ESG metrics.
• Support emergency response and regulatory inspections while partnering with site leadership, Corporate EHS, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• At least three years of manufacturing EHS experience.
• Experience with waste management, hazardous materials transportation, hazard identification, risk assessment, corrective actions, compliance reporting, gap assessments, and regulatory training.
• Strong communication, training, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training tools such as PowerPoint and Articulate.
• Ability to work onsite in Highland Heights, Ohio, travel regularly to Johnson City, Tennessee, and access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• EHS certifications such as CHMM, CSP, or ASP.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
