Product Manager, Tailscale-Native Apps (Developer Experience)

Salary: $209,040 - $261,300 CAD

What you will do

• Own the roadmap for the native apps experience, including TSNet, hirify.global-rs, and the hirify.global CLI.
• Define reference architectures, golden paths, and embedding patterns for hirify.global-native applications.
• Manage the end-to-end developer experience, from initial onboarding to API ergonomics and documentation.
• Strategize the Rust SDK family development, determining which capabilities to port and how to position the library.
• Develop the CLI as a standalone product, optimizing it for scripting, automation, and SRE workflows.
• Partner with GTM and Customer Success to drive embedding deals with AI platforms and infrastructure software.

Requirements

• 6+ years in product management, or a software engineering background transitioning into product.
• Proven experience shipping developer-facing products such as SDKs, APIs, CLIs, or libraries.
• Ability to read Go and/or Rust to hold technical conversations about API and SDK design.
• Strong taste in developer experience, including opinions on ergonomics and onboarding flows.
• Experience conducting customer research via GitHub issues, Discord, and office hours.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building projects in Go or Rust.
• Background at developer-centric platforms like Stripe, Twilio, Auth0, Vercel, or HashiCorp.
• Open-source community experience, including contribution and issue triage.
• Familiarity with networking, zero-trust, or VPN technologies.
• Experience designing CLIs or scripting surfaces for platform and SRE teams.
