EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Athens, Georgia, United States; onsite at the manufacturing plant

Salary: $80,600–$127,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead the plant’s environmental health and safety plan and ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, internal safety inspections, audits, and investigations of recordable injuries, first-aid cases, and near misses.
• Own employee safety training, including new-hire orientation, monthly training, OSHA programs, and emergency response instruction.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, permits, documentation, workers’ compensation cases, and contractor safety compliance.
• Serve as emergency coordinator or alternate for hazardous waste spills, environmental incidents, and fires.
• Partner with plant leadership, engineering, maintenance, and the corporate EH&S team on safety projects and equipment commissioning.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience as an EHS leader in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, emergency response, and state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, and especially Excel.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, and remain calm during crises.
