Python Developer (AWS)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; working from the office 4 days per week

What you will do

• Design and develop AWS-enabled backend solutions using Python.
• Build applications with secure APIs, parallel computing, messaging, and data-intensive workflows.
• Implement automated test suites and ensure sufficient application test coverage.
• Configure application observability using standard AWS tools and services.
• Collaborate on shared architecture, engineering practices, and development culture.
• Guide technology and methodology decisions supporting business strategies.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience with Python development.
• Detailed knowledge of AWS services for serverless backend applications.
• Hands-on experience automating AWS deployments to development and production environments.
• Experience analyzing and resolving AWS performance bottlenecks.
• Solid Linux and scripting background, with a strong focus on automation and testing.
• Ability to work from the Dublin office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Experience developing applications with the Serverless Framework.
• Experience in financial services or insurance.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
