Software Development Engineer (AWS Lambda Control Plane): Building and operating globally available control-plane APIs and distributed workflows that validate, orchestrate, and propagate AWS Lambda function state with an accent on high-throughput APIs, strict consistency, and fault-tolerant metadata propagation. Focus on designing asynchronous function lifecycle workflows, coordinating regional compute fleets, and maintaining reliability under partial failures at large service scale.

hirify.global's AWS Lambda team builds and operates cloud infrastructure that enables customers to deploy and run functions at global scale.

What you will do

Design, build, and operate distributed systems for the AWS Lambda control plane.
Develop high-throughput, strictly consistent, globally available APIs serving customers and CloudFormation.
Design asynchronous workflows for function creation, code deployment, and version publishing.
Propagate configuration and metadata changes safely to compute fleets across regions.
Own the full path from API requests through handoff to the Lambda data plane.
Operate systems where availability, reliability, and resilience under partial failures are first-class requirements.

Requirements

Professional software development experience outside internships.
Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling considerations.
Strong programming fundamentals in at least one of Java, Python, or TypeScript.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
Experience across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred.
