Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Zurich or remote within Europe; listed locations include Barcelona, Ireland, Poland, Spain, and the UK.

What you will do

• Build and maintain the core software foundation supporting hirify.global's products.
• Develop and operate cloud infrastructure, including security, observability, and CI/CD.
• Build backend systems and solve performance, concurrency, and distributed-systems challenges.
• Apply AI and machine learning to complex business problems and deliver reliable production software.
• Develop the product extension platform for automating arbitrary customer business processes.

Requirements

• Work on-site in Zurich or remotely within Europe.
• Ability to make assumptions explicit, reason formally and structurally, and explain why solutions are correct.
• Strong systems thinking and a high level of thoroughness and precision.
• Experience with functional programming and a deep understanding of programming languages and paradigm trade-offs.
• Evidence of strong academic achievement, startup experience, or building and maintaining productive systems.
