Software Development Engineer (AWS Networking)

What you will do

• Build and maintain production-quality distributed systems that automate AWS data center networking.
• Develop tools and processes to collect and rationalize data from multiple sources and reduce operational workloads.
• Design and build cloud-computing software for network deployment, scaling, monitoring, IP allocation, capacity recovery, and decommissioning.
• Measure service quality, prevent customer-facing faults, and troubleshoot recurring platform issues.
• Partner with Network Engineering teams to deliver safe and reliable software rollouts.
• Mentor junior engineers and implement performance, scalability, and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship experience in software development.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
