Senior Patent Counsel (IP Law)

What you will do

• Ensure the registration, enforcement, and defense of technical IP rights on a global scale.
• Represent the company before the European Patent Office and lead post-grant procedures.
• Perform deep analysis and provide legal opinions regarding patent infringement, freedom-to-operate, and validity.
• Manage and support major IP-related litigations and lead IP licensing cases.
• Draft and negotiate complex technical and scientific contracts and lead IP activities in M&A projects.
• Drive IP strategy for the Care Chemicals Business Unit and coach junior IP Counsels.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant science field (Master/PhD preferred).
• Qualified European Patent Attorney (must have passed all EU Patent Law exams).
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in IP within a business or technology environment.
• Deep understanding of patent laws, procedures, and IP court practice.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be based in or able to work in Frankfurt, Germany.
