QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

What you will do

• Build scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress applying OO principles.
• Embed quality into CI/CD by integrating automated tests into pipelines and release quality gates.
• Test REST and GraphQL APIs to validate data integrity, business logic, and system behavior.
• Apply risk-based testing to prioritize critical user journeys and high-impact areas.
• Improve test effectiveness by reducing regression time and addressing flaky test suites.
• Mentor other engineers and share best practices as an informal technical leader.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or automation engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or a comparable language.
• Expertise in designing maintainable and modular automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong API testing experience across REST and GraphQL.
• Must be based in or able to work from Amsterdam for the hybrid requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.
• Knowledge of security or observability practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as Codex or Copilot.
