QA Engineer (Automation)

Location: Remote for candidates based in Europe or South Africa; hybrid work is possible in the Netherlands. Working hours follow Central European Time (CET). Relocation support and visa sponsorship are not available.

What you will do

• Own and maintain the product quality plan across the release cycle, including test layers, quality gates, and release readiness decisions.
• Embed quality practices early through refinement and design discussions, acceptance-criteria reviews, testability analysis, and risk identification.
• Collaborate with developers and the product owner on testability, code quality, edge cases, and continuous improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end and integration tests for Laravel and React applications.
• Develop API test suites with Postman to validate backend functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Manage bugs, incidents, root-cause analysis, and test automation infrastructure across CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
• Automation testing experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience with Postman, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, PHP, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
