Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift

Location: OPS- Hammond, LA C59, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $27.00–$39.25 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, record issues in maintenance logs, and document work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Assemble and test equipment, analyze production delays and spoilage causes, and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain operating records for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems.
• Lead or support facility projects, including minor renovations, inventory management, contractor oversight, and building-efficiency improvements.
• Mentor maintenance personnel and provide guidance to junior engineers and lower-level technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining forklifts, conveyors, and general equipment, including complex equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems, plus basic proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to obtain certification on industrial lift equipment and willingness to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours, work up to 6 days per week, lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, and work at heights, on ladders, and in physically demanding positions.
• Availability for overtime, on-call requests, business travel of up to 10%, and compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, PPE, and other safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or an equivalent field.
• Apprenticeship completion or current trade certification.
