What you will do

• Provide technical and sourcing support to design engineers for component research and selection.
• Monitor and resolve component lifecycle issues by identifying substitutes for NPI and sustaining products.
• Assign risk ratings in Agile based on sourcing, lifecycle, quality, and availability.
• Review component datasheets to assess impacts on voltage, timing, and manufacturing compatibility.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
• Administer ECO, MCO, and PCN processes in PLM systems.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in PLM systems and comprehensive knowledge of change order management (PCN, ECO, BOM).
• Experience designing sheet metal and plastic parts for cosmetic and non-cosmetic use.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
• Understanding of international and domestic agency requirements (RoHS, REACH, EMI/EMC).
• Proficiency in reviewing technical datasheets and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid cooling systems and thermal simulation.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo (ProEngineer) and PTC Windchill (PDMLink).
• Experience with Agile or Propel systems.
• Hands-on experience with shock, vibration, and EMC testing.
