Mechanical Engineer (Test & Measurement)

Salary: $83,400–$155,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, prototype, test, and sustain electro-mechanical products for Test & Measurement applications, including oscilloscopes, probes, and accessories.
• Lead daily priorities, workload, and technical support across Mechanical and Product Line Engineering teams.
• Optimize designs with Operations and suppliers for manufacturability, quality, cost, and product lifecycle performance.
• Perform structural, thermal, mechanical, and EMC-related analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to small engineering projects from concept through production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of electro-mechanical product design experience, including products with electronic assemblies.
• Expertise in sheet metal design, fabrication, GD&T, tolerancing, assembly techniques, and chassis optimization.
• Experience designing plastic components, machined parts, PCBs, and cable assemblies.
• Advanced proficiency with Creo and Windchill, plus strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Experience with thermal analysis, CFD, prototyping, validation, manufacturing processes, suppliers, statistics, and Design of Experiments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Creo Simulate.
• Experience with RF interconnects and shielding design.
• Background in Test & Measurement instrumentation or related high-technology products.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes and applications.
