TL;DR

Workday Developer (People Tech): Leading the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday solutions to power HR and payroll processes with an accent on scalable architecture and data integrity. Focus on architecting complex business processes, developing advanced analytics dashboards, and guiding the adoption of new Workday release features.

Location: Must be based in the US. Hybrid (2-3 days/week) in San Francisco, Denver, or New York; remote options available for other US locations.

Salary: $128,000 – $193,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead configuration of Workday modules including Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, HCM, Talent, and Compensation.
• Architect and develop Workday Business Processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and security roles.
• Develop and own advanced matrix, composite, and dashboard reports to surface actionable workforce insights.
• Design and lead test strategies, including UAT coordination and regression testing for biannual Workday releases.
• Mentor team members and act as the internal subject matter authority on system capabilities and best practices.
• Partner with People Team and IT stakeholders to ensure scalable, business-ready outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of hands-on Workday analyst or configuration experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Workday security, business processes, reporting, and calculated fields.
• Proven ability to independently handle complex, ambiguous assignments with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

• Workday certifications in Payroll, Absence, HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, or Reporting.
• Experience in HR, payroll, or benefits domains.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
