Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Remote, USA

Annual base salary: $128,000–$176,000

What you will do

• Build backend services supporting core AI/ML product features.
• Design backend infrastructure for scalable, resilient, and highly performant solutions.
• Deploy and manage applications in production.
• Take ownership of work and lead cross-functional projects with therapists, data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
• Write production code and build systems from scratch.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience delivering production-ready products.
• Strong Java and Python skills.
• Experience implementing production-level RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and low-latency databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and consensus-building skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, WebSockets, or Server-Sent Events.
• Understanding of machine-learning principles and production model inference.
• Experience defining and using Protobuf messages.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience handling highly sensitive healthcare data.
