Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Build autonomous AI agents on the Quartermaster platform to handle SRE, DevOps, and DBA workflows, including incident investigation and provisioning.
• Design robust agent architectures with planning, reasoning, tool-use, and human-in-the-loop escalation mechanisms.
• Integrate AI agents with infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Aliyun), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and implement evaluation frameworks to measure agent effectiveness, accuracy, and task completion rates.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and SRE teams to identify and automate high-value operational pain points.
• Contribute to the long-term technical vision for how agentic AI will transform infrastructure operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Aliyun), Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong system design skills to architect safe and scalable agent systems for production environments.
• Must be based in Seattle, WA (Hybrid role).
• Excellent communication skills and experience working across cross-functional teams in a global setting.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems using LLMs and orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen).
• Experience with observability and monitoring stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK.
• Knowledge of database administration automation and SRE practices such as SLOs/SLIs and runbooks.
• Deep interest in the future of autonomous infrastructure systems and agent reliability.
