Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; occasional telecommuting is available only within commuting distance of the reporting office in Redmond, Washington.

Annual base salary: $206,086–$217,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain microservices-based core platform services, RESTful APIs, and backend systems for resource management.
• Develop internal tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning and integrate AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, technical planning, and sprint planning.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance and resource utilization, and implement fixes.
• Review code, mentor junior software engineers, and promote software engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field, or an equivalent foreign degree.
• At least five years of relevant experience, including backend or distributed-systems software engineering.
• At least five years of experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• At least five years of experience programming with Go, Python, and/or Java.
• At least five years of experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• At least five years of experience with networking, security, and scalability concepts.
