Senior QA Software Engineer (Networking)

Location: Hybrid role based in Salem, New Hampshire, United States

Base compensation: USD 120,000–140,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Debug networking software through systematic testing and quality validation.
• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans and automated test scripts.
• Maintain test-result documentation to support debugging and software changes.
• Analyze test results, verify existing functionality, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with development engineers to resolve software and quality issues.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of hands-on software testing and quality assurance experience.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and networking-based applications.
• Knowledge of network management, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
• Experience with Selenium, QTP, Python, and JavaScript for test automation.
• Understanding of web services, XML, JSON, APIs, and data-driven web applications.
• Degree in computer, software, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Robot, Perl, Python, or Shell scripting for tools development and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with the IXIA protocol packet generator.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
