Lead Mission Systems & Integration Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Travel up to 10%.

Base pay: $138,200–$190,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead mission systems design, requirements definition, and integration for prototype vehicles.
• Integrate payloads, sensors, mission equipment, and operator interfaces.
• Support rapid prototyping from mission architecture and concept development through ground and flight testing.
• Own mission systems technical approaches, standards, and integration methods within Special Programs.
• Assess the feasibility of emerging concepts, RFPs, and mission requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, trade studies, and analysis packages, and represent the work in internal and government stakeholder reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience defining and integrating mission systems, payloads, or sensor packages for aerospace or defense platforms.
• Knowledge of mission-system requirements management and payload-to-airframe integration.
• Experience across the full development lifecycle, from concept through prototype, in fast-paced and resource-constrained environments.
• 8–12 years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent rapid-prototyping or advanced-programs experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
