Technical Writer Manager

Salary: $116,100 - $180,700 base range

What you will do

• Update and maintain complete project status tracking.
• Lead Technical Writers and drive continuous improvement in internal procedures and customer-facing documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering Project Managers to clarify documentation requirements, balance workloads, and achieve schedules.
• Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and perform editorial reviews for proposals, RFIs, and RFPs as needed.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and QA to keep documentation accurate and current.
• Provide editorial reviews and participate in cross-functional leadership meetings; advance AI efforts for internal and customer-facing documentation within Military-based constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of direct people management experience in a hybrid setting.
• Extensive experience with MadCap Flare, CHM, and PDF outputs.
• Experience with source control such as TFS and Git/GitHub.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple technical facets.
• ITAR restriction: US Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.
