Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California; office attendance required at least three days per week

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Break news and deliver exclusive reporting on Musk-led companies and related technologies.
• Develop deep sources across industry, regulatory, investor, and technology communities.
• Produce analytical stories connecting technology developments, business news, and market impact.
• Report and produce content for television, digital, and social platforms.
• Collaborate with reporters and editors on enterprise coverage.
• Translate complex technological and regulatory developments into clear, accessible journalism.

Requirements

• Significant experience covering technology, markets, or corporate power at a major news organization.
• Proven ability to break scoops and deliver agenda-setting journalism.
• Strong understanding of AI, autonomy, aerospace, and manufacturing.
• Experience cultivating sources across industry, government, and investment communities.
• Excellent news judgment and the ability to distinguish signal from hype.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup with regular attendance at the San Francisco office.

• Familiarity with capital markets and venture ecosystems.
• Comfort interpreting technical concepts, financial disclosures, and policy frameworks.
• Experience delivering compelling stories on television.
