What you will do

• Write, edit, and proofread accurate technical documentation for world-class training systems.
• Translate complex technical engineering concepts into accessible text and visuals.
• Ensure consistency and compliance by applying DoD and industry style standards.
• Utilize publishing tools including Microsoft Office, Acrobat, FrameMaker, and Photoshop to create materials.
• Organize content and support configuration-management workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, authors, and QA teams to verify accuracy and meet production deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page-layout skills with high attention to detail.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with computer-based publishing tools.
• Willingness to support occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with HTML, XML, or other web-authoring tools.
• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Atlassian tools.
• Knowledge of structured authoring practices and DoD style guides.
