What you will do

• Develop and maintain software for flight and mission simulators to ensure reliability and performance.
• Modernize and optimize legacy codebases through enhancements and new features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware for real-time, mission-critical applications.
• Utilize both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies for structured and iterative development.
• Write clean, efficient code focusing on simulator performance and real-time system constraints.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to meet high standards for pilot training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering for mission-critical or real-time environments.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring teams.
• Flexibility for occasional overtime, shift work, and CONUS travel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704.
• Experience with ARINC / RTCA standards.
• Background in military training, simulation, or DoD-aligned programs.
