What you will do

• Simulate articulated truck motion in response to steering, accelerator, and brake inputs.
• Model vehicular motion, including the interaction between coupled tractor and trailers and environmental effects.
• Characterize non-linear effects such as gear shifting and electronic stability control.
• Analyze simulation fidelity by comparing simulated performance with real-world on-road data.
• Evaluate controller performance across multi-dimensional assessments and build safety cases for driverless operation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of controls development experience for automotive robots.
• Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
• Deep interest and facility with mechanical physics and vehicle modeling.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in the US; certain roles may require verification of U.S. person status or citizenship.

Nice to have

• Experience simulating automotive robots, specifically controls and robotic platforms.
• Direct experience with driverless autonomous vehicles.
