Engineer, Performance (Solar and Battery Storage)

Location: Louisville, Colorado, United States; the role may include 10–15% travel to project locations and partner offices within the United States.

Salary: $87,000–$104,550 per year, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze operational performance and trends across photovoltaic and battery storage sites.
• Lead capacity and performance testing against production commitments and established KPIs.
• Investigate lost energy, troubleshoot operating systems, review designs, and identify root causes of underperformance.
• Configure and validate performance alerts, review production estimates and meteorological data, and prepare periodic variance reports.
• Coordinate with field service, asset management, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve site performance.
• Support project-to-operations transitions, process improvement, safety assessments, and the use of drones, LiDAR, thermal imaging, and 3D modeling.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• Experience with advanced analysis and database tools for metrics and dashboards.
• Ability to read and understand equipment and facility schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and task management skills.
• Willingness to travel within the United States and commitment to a strong safety culture.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer qualifications or progress toward qualification.
• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with photovoltaic and battery energy storage system design and interconnection.
• Power BI, machine learning, data acquisition, or SCADA experience.
• Spanish language skills.
