Location: Hybrid in Pomona, California, US; employees are generally required to work and reside in California. The role requires reporting to an SCE facility on set days, remote work on remaining days, and up to 10% travel throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.
Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do
- Lead complex Integration Capacity Analysis studies by defining assumptions, validating models, and ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Shape ICA methodologies by integrating forecasting, scenario analysis, operational considerations, and distribution-system planning objectives.
- Design and enhance ICA engines, analytical tools, and data pipelines for scalable capacity insights.
- Improve model integrity and data quality while coordinating with Distribution Engineering, Interconnection, Regulatory, and IT teams.
- Resolve complex and cross-functional engineering problems, conduct risk assessments, and support audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Provide technical leadership, review engineering work products, coordinate employees and contractors, and train junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or in a scientific, technical, or mathematics field.
- Five or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.
- Valid Class C driver's license.
- Knowledge of power systems, statistics, or data analytics applicable to capacity evaluation, time-series analysis, and distribution-system modeling.
- Experience with power-flow modeling, short-circuit duty analysis, detailed engineering analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work and reside in California and report to the Pomona facility under the hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools for large datasets, process automation, and workflow support.
- Experience with machine learning or AI techniques for data automation and advanced analytical studies.
- Experience developing data visualizations or dashboards.
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
