Privacy Analyst (Legal)

What you will do

• Partner with product managers, engineers, and legal colleagues to identify and mitigate privacy risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Conduct and document complex privacy assessments, including Privacy-by-Design (PbD) reviews, DPIAs, and LIAs.
• Translate global regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and AI-related laws) into practical, product-focused guidance.
• Develop and optimize scalable playbooks, templates, and tools to improve privacy intake and review efficiency.
• Support the implementation of the global privacy program and portfolio-wide privacy governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support audits and assessments of privacy practices.

Requirements

• Background in privacy, law, public policy, or a related field.
• Experience supporting PIAs, DPIAs, LIAs, or product privacy reviews.
• Understanding of digital product architecture, including data flows, APIs, SDKs, and AI/ML use cases.
• Must be based in New York, NY for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and interest in applying AI tools to automate workflows.
