What you will do

• Lead and grow the platform engineering team focused on Authentication, API, and MCP services.
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers while supporting career growth and performance management.
• Own the technical direction and strategy for identity systems and AI-agent integration patterns.
• Contribute directly to architecture reviews and the codebase (approx. 25% of time).
• Coordinate dependencies with product domain teams and remove delivery friction.
• Collaborate with InfoSec on access controls and SOC 2 compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 2+ years in leadership.
• Deep technical expertise in authentication systems, API design, or MCP/AI-agent patterns.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Experience with security standards such as SOC 2, OAuth, or OIDC.
• Must be based in the US; unable to consider candidates requiring current or future sponsorship.
• AI-first mindset with experience using AI coding tools and spec-driven development.

Nice to have

• Experience building MCP servers or AI-agent tooling integrations.
• Expertise with IAM platforms like Auth0, Okta, or AWS Cognito.
