Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of core backend services and data platform components.
• Establish platform architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards.
• Partner with governance and analytics teams to support scalable data ingestion and access patterns.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe, repeatable, and observable deployments.
• Hire, mentor, and manage a growing team of engineers.
• Transition from a primary individual contributor to a people and execution leader.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Deep foundation in software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming and API design.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts such as lakehouse architectures and ELT pipelines.
• Experience building modular or microservice-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML platforms or services like Databricks or AWS Bedrock.
• Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience working in media, streaming, or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Prior experience modernizing or integrating legacy systems into cloud-native platforms.
