Compensation: $225,000 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Own execution across complex initiatives, removing blockers and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Partner with product, design, and company leadership to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, technical direction, and key engineering decisions.
• Scale the engineering organization through hiring, onboarding, and building a culture of ownership.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing software engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building and shipping production systems.
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives while balancing people leadership and technical judgment.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering across product, design, and business teams.
• Bias toward action and ability to lead effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling an engineering organization or product through significant growth.
• Experience building AI-powered products using LLMs or search technologies such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
• Experience as an early engineer or engineering leader at a startup.
