What you will do

• Define and execute the roadmap for ML training and serving, covering model deployment, GPU infrastructure, and low-latency serving.
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers while remaining engaged in technical execution.
• Ensure operational health and reliability of infrastructure, balancing performance, cost, and developer experience.
• Evaluate and integrate modern ML capabilities, specifically transformer-based workloads and GPU compute.
• Collaborate with ML modeling, product, and infrastructure teams to support high-priority ML initiatives.
• Manage recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in software or machine learning engineering.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineers.
• Hands-on experience building production ML or distributed systems infrastructure (training, serving, or GPU).
• Strong understanding of ML data needs, reproducibility, and evaluation data.
• Familiarity with deep learning, transformer architectures, and large-scale training/serving.
• Must be based in Canada.
