What you will do

• Develop piping layouts, routing concepts, models, isometrics, and spool drawings for hot cells, GTS, and process systems.
• Prepare and revise design deliverables based on P&IDs, equipment arrangements, and specifications.
• Coordinate piping interfaces with HVAC, mechanical, I&C, electrical, and structural teams.
• Support constructability and clash reviews, material takeoffs, and field walkdowns to resolve issues.
• Review vendor drawings for nozzle orientations, penetration locations, and maintainability constraints.
• Maintain model accuracy and configuration control for testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical design, piping design, or engineering technology.
• 5+ years of piping engineering or design experience in nuclear, DOE, chemical, or high-hazard industrial facilities.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, and vendor data.
• Experience using 2D/3D design tools or plant design platforms.
• US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain necessary site access and security clearances.

Nice to have

• Experience with uranium processing, gloveboxes, or radiological facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, SmartPlant, MicroStation, or Navisworks.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, piping materials, and construction work packages.
• Active DOE L or Q clearance.
