What you will do

• Lead the design of critical concrete structures, including spent fuel dry cask storage and facility foundations.
• Perform detailed static, thermal, and seismic structural analysis using both hand calculations and FEA tools.
• Develop and execute construction, fabrication, and test plans for precast and cast-in-place concrete elements.
• Manage the Bill-of-Materials (BOM) and source suppliers for precast concrete components.
• Own risk analysis (FMEA) for concrete structural subsystems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate structural requirements into the overall microreactor system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing concrete or reinforced concrete structures.
• 4+ years of experience in structural analysis using tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, or SAP2000.
• Ability to derive free-body diagrams and apply high-fidelity finite element-based analysis.
• Must be compliant with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Active PE license.
• Experience with ACI 318 codes and precast concrete system design.
• Background in nuclear or other critical-facility structural design.
• Proficiency with GD&T and construction tolerancing.
• Experience resolving thermal expansion and gradient issues in concrete.
