Salary: $90,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Support highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems while defining SLIs and SLOs.
• Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify performance risks.
• Lead high-impact incident response and participate in on-call rotations.
• Reduce operational toil by building automation for scaling, recovery, and routine tasks.
• Partner with development teams on safe releases, change validation, and capacity planning.
• Document systems and operational practices to promote shared ownership.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and eligible for Canadian Enhanced Reliability Security clearance.
• 7+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, and Spring framework.
• 3+ years of experience with Incident Management processes in IT operations.
• 1+ years of experience with React, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of web security (OWASP top 10).
• Ability to participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Ops capabilities and developing AI-based tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-hosted applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Middleware (WebSphere/WebLogic), and DevOps tools like Jenkins or Ansible.
• Experience with Agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum).
