What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, clean, and maintainable backend solutions.
• Collaborate with senior and principal developers to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Support production systems, including investigating issues and driving resolutions.
• Participate in group technology reviews and contribute to user story formulation.
• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to enhance platform performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience (3+ years with a Master's).
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Strong experience designing REST and gRPC APIs.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (SOLID, Domain-Driven Design).
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational data stores.
• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies, Git, and monitoring tools like Splunk or Datadog.
• Experience architecting distributed systems.
