What you will do

• Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
• Operate and maintain boilers and ancillary equipment, including pressure/temperature/flow monitoring for steam and/or chilled water systems.
• Perform periodic cleaning, inspection, testing, repair, and calibration of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems and instruments.
• Troubleshoot and analyze instrument, control, and metering problems; repair and modify control circuitry with high precision.
• Install, program, and maintain electronic instruments and computerized controls/programmable controllers; update diagrams, drawings, and plans.
• Complete preventive/corrective/scheduled maintenance, write work orders, maintain maintenance/operation records, and support start-up of new installations.

Requirements

• Technical or trade school degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent training/experience.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive technician experience maintaining and repairing in central plant, power generation, or other process plants.
• Ability to write logic using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagrams; diagnose and resolve issues in existing PLC programs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, optimizing control logic for efficiency, and implementing system updates.
• Experience creating and maintaining documentation (system schematics, wiring diagrams, programming logic).
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and perform basic computer operations and email.

Nice to have

• Thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO).
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and thermodynamics.
• Ability to read logic diagrams, electrical/mechanical drawings, and process flow/control and instrumentation diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting complex co-generation plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Experience using test equipment (multimeters, dead weight testers, combustion analyzers, frequency generators/counters) for calibration and troubleshooting.
