Hardware Integrator / Test Technician (Cybersecurity)

Location: Manassas, Virginia, United States; onsite role

Salary: $44–$54 per hour on a non-benefited W-2 contract

hirify.global is staffing a long-term contract supporting a top aerospace and defense client and its cybersecurity team for U.S. Navy submarine systems.

What you will do

• Assemble test racks with servers, switches, KVMs, and other computer components.
• Cable rack and lab interconnections, build servers with COTS and GOTS software, and configure network switches.
• Support lab planning, including layout, power, cooling, facilities coordination, hardware ordering, and bill of material tracking.
• Track government and company equipment, troubleshoot hardware failures, and coordinate repairs, replacements, and RMAs with vendors.
• Conduct formal and informal tests, validate requirements, install IA software, and provide testing support at other locations.
• Develop test methods, plans, procedures, reports, and requirement-validation documentation while communicating issues to management.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s or technology degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of submarine combat control weapon system experience or relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on ability to assemble and test computer equipment, with knowledge of networking protocols including UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP, and encryption.
• Basic Linux command-line knowledge and strong analytical, communication, motivation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• High-level knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Ability to read C, C++, and Java source code.
• Cybersecurity degree experience or certification.
