What you will do

• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of intermediate to large-scale capital renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage.
• Define project scope, develop detailed schedules, and create accurate cost estimates and engineering specifications.
• Manage project expenditures and cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee daily on-site construction activities, coordinating closely with contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal organizations, suppliers, and trade labor unions.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, obtaining necessary approvals for operation.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Detroit, MI
• Experience: 6–10 years of project management experience (depending on degree level).
• Must have at least 2 years of experience with large-scale construction or utility projects.
• Minimum 6 months of direct project management experience in renewable energy (wind, solar, or energy storage).
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related business field.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Proficiency with P6 Primavera.
• Experience presenting strategic plans to senior leadership.
• Deep expertise in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
