TL;DR
Senior Construction Project Manager (Solar Energy): Managing the planning, design, construction, and closeout of utility-scale solar, community solar, and wind energy projects with an accent on budget control, schedule delivery, risk management, and customer satisfaction. Focus on coordinating complex EPC and subcontractor work, forecasting costs, managing change orders, and delivering projects safely and on schedule.
Location: Based out of the Clearway office in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a hybrid work arrangement and 50–75% travel depending on project needs. The position is limited to the United States, and Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas.
Salary: $165,000–$190,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do
- Manage the planning, design, construction, and closeout of assigned renewable energy projects.
- Own project budgets, schedules, cost forecasting, risk registers, reporting, and lifecycle cost management.
- Coordinate project engineers, supply chain and logistics teams, finance and administrative staff, construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Lead subcontractor and supplier kickoffs, negotiate subcontracts, and manage change orders.
- Conduct site audits and oversee compliance with safety, quality, construction, and electrical requirements.
- Act as the primary representative for customers, permitting agencies, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of project management experience, including 4+ years with solar energy, community solar, or utility wind energy projects.
- Experience with an EPC, construction management consulting, engineering, or construction contractor organization.
- Experience leading complex internal and external teams and managing EPC contracts and subcontracts.
- Strong construction project management, supervisory, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with construction and electrical codes and the ability to procure and oversee subcontracted construction functions.
- High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred. Must be eligible to work in the United States without non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
