What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers through direct feedback and career growth planning.
• Own the technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the Repayment UX product surface.
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance through effective on-call and incident response management.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to align technical initiatives with business goals.
• Drive hiring and onboarding efforts to build a diverse and capable engineering team.
• Guide the team in adopting modern development practices, including the integration of agentic AI to multiply output.

Requirements

• Must be based in Spain (visa sponsorship available).
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management.
• Proven track record of delivering consumer-facing software and managing performance.
• Experience with modern fullstack development, specifically React or React Native.
• Strong technical judgment to guide architecture and reliability decisions.
• Ability to lead significant technical initiatives end-to-end under time constraints.
