Engineering Team Lead (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Engineering Team Lead (Fullstack): Leading the development of ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud with an accent on continuous delivery, solution design, and team growth. Focus on mentoring engineers, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and designing microservices-oriented architectures on AWS.

Location: Must be based in Canada. Remote role with occasional travel to the Toronto office (expected no more than once a quarter).

Salary: $150,000–180,000 CAD

What you will do

• Lead a software development team following Agile processes and continuous delivery principles.
• Mentor, coach, and develop software engineers of varying experience levels to increase their impact.
• Facilitate solution design, perform code peer reviews, and solve complex collaborative technical problems.
• Collaborate with Product teams to set priorities and deliver updates to key stakeholders.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and execution of development plans for direct reports.
• Respond to product incidents and assist with high-level support escalations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong full-stack development skills: proficiency in one backend technology (Java, Groovy, or Python) AND one frontend framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience collaborating with and coaching junior engineers.
• Practical knowledge of implementing and running CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and microservices-oriented architecture with REST APIs.
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Atlassian Ecosystem or plugin development.
• AWS Certification.
• Experience developing applications with serverless architecture.
• Expertise in Java, Groovy, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience leading agile ceremonies.
