Principal Software Engineer (Identity & Access Management)

TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (Golang/IAM): Designing and leading the evolution of the authentication and authorization platform with an accent on API auth gateways and identity services. What you will do

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for the API auth gateway and supporting identity services.
• Architect and build scalable, highly-available auth services using Golang, AWS, and RDS.
• Lead phased, zero-downtime migrations of auth traffic with established rollback and safety mechanisms.
• Establish platform-wide standards for OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and fine-grained authorization models (RBAC/ABAC).
• Partner with Security and Compliance to ensure the platform meets fintech-grade regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineers and champion a culture of operational excellence and AI-assisted engineering.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in IAM systems including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT.
• Experience designing and operating API gateways or auth proxies at scale (e.g., Kong, Envoy, AWS API Gateway).
• Proven track record of leading large-scale service extractions or migrations from monolithic architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and SQL-based RDBMS such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Must be based in Türkiye.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity platforms like Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or Ory.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies, Envoy, Istio, and mTLS.
• Familiarity with threat modeling, secure design reviews, and common auth attack vectors.
• Previous experience in fintech, payments, BNPL, or consumer lending.
• Experience with containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
