What you will do

• Design and ship authentication and authorization systems including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and fine-grained permission models.
• Evolve the platform's authorization model for applications, environments, and projects.
• Own the security experience across the stack, from management interfaces to APIs and data models.
• Build controls and audit trails to enforce and monitor how users, services, and agents act within the system.
• Design shared auth APIs and primitives, collaborating with Product and Design teams to drive adoption.
• Operate critical auth systems, managing observability, safe rollouts, and incident response.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience shipping and operating production systems.
• Experience building customer-facing authentication or authorization features.
• Ability to design systems where correctness, availability, and safe rollouts are critical.
• Proven track record of leading ambiguous projects from design to production.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Not eligible for new visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, or JWTs.
• Experience with multi-tenant authorization models such as RBAC, ABAC, or ReBAC.
• Knowledge of workload identity, secrets management, or privileged access controls.
• Experience building developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS products.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
