What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services for blockchain integrations, digital asset custody, and on-chain transaction processing at scale.
• Build and evolve integrations with blockchain networks, crypto providers, and custody infrastructure for multi-chain, multi-asset operations.
• Contribute to the Layer 1 platform architecture to ensure reliability, security, and data integrity across blockchain networks and asset types.
• Build and maintain APIs for the digital asset lifecycle (address generation, deposits, withdrawals, consolidation, and balance management).
• Improve observability, performance, and resilience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response; participate in out-of-hours on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering squads; participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with deep proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM-based languages.
• Experience designing, building, and operating microservices in distributed systems environments.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SQS/SNS).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Experience with observability and reliability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing) and performance optimization.

Salary: Bulgaria €70,000–€110,000 EUR; Spain €85,000–€110,000 EUR; Poland 250,000–480,000 PLN
