What you will do

• Own bank systems end-to-end, including cloud infrastructure, data platforms, durable workflow orchestration, and CI/CD.
• Implement AI-first development practices using agentic workflows and AI tools to multiply code quality and velocity.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships, overseeing integration, operations, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to create examiner-ready designs and runbooks.
• Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to ensure system reliability.
• Mentor peers and define high engineering standards for code review and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of taking ownership through launch and operations.
• Strong systems thinking across AWS, Terraform, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as banking, payments, or healthcare.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Codex).
• Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for distilling technical concepts for executives and examiners.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with neobanks, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or card issuer processing.
• Experience with de novo bank launches or building greenfield regulated platforms.
• Hands-on experience setting up a greenfield cloud organization with a tight security posture.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDIC examinations, GLBA, BSA/AML, and Reg E/Z.
